Han Solo is introduced in A New Hope as a roguish space smuggler who, through a twist of fate, becomes involved in the Rebel Alliance against the evil Galactic Empire. He is known for superb smuggling skills, dry wit, skepticism, a reckless disposition, technological savvy - and of course for piloting the Millennium Falcon with his Wookiee copilot Chewbacca.
