Glitter lamps consists of an illuminating bulb, a glass bottle containing a transparent liquid, glimmering beads, and a metallic wire coil. When illuminated the beats heat and cool more quickly than the surrounding liquid, which simultaneously heats and cools non-uniformly within itself. The result is a glimmering snow-globe effect that has become synonymous with the Disco era. The lamp stands at 14" tall when assembled and the power cord is 68" long.
